The Joshua + Robin Berry Story.

Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Trust

Children of tragic car wreck victims Robin and Joshua Berry are back in Houston
recovering from injuries sustained in the July 2 crash in west Texas that killed their parents.

The two boys, Peter, 9, and Aaron, 8, were transferred from Lubbock
to a Houston hospital late Wednesday night, July 6.

Both boys are being treated for spinal injuries.

The Berry's daughter, Willa, 6, is now staying with family friends in Houston.
She was treated at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock for a broken arm and ankle.

The children arrived home the night their parents were buried at Beth Yeshurun cemetery.
Nearly 2,000 people attended the double funeral service at the synagogue.

In their eulogies, family members and rabbis pledged to
honor the parents' memories by taking care of the children.

The children's aunt and uncle, Matt and Simone Berry, have been named legal guardians.

Joshua and Robin were killed in an auto accident over the July 4 holiday weekend
while driving through Fort Stockton, Texas, on their way back home from a family vacation in Colorado.

Please help support the rehabilitation and growth of the Berry children by donating to their Fund at the

"Donate Now" page linked to the left. If you have previously donated elsewhere,
your donation will funnel through to the same account linked here via paypal.

May their parent's memories be for a blessing.

Our hearts go out to the children of Joshua + Robin Berry. Thread wants to make it easy for the local community to help. From now until the end of August we will be collecting monetary donations for the Berry Children's Trust. At the end of August, Thread will MATCH all donations made by our customers.

WNW: What's New Wednesday

By now you know Thread is a consignment store.   Ninety percent of our items have been gently used (but you really can't tell because they look like new).  We do get a good share of items from our consignors that have never been worn and are brand new with tags still on.

We tell you this so you can keep that in mind when you need a gift.  We are often asked "what do you think about giving a consignment item as a gift?".  Kari + I are fine with it.  We do it all the time.  But we also believe in recycling clothes.  That's why we own Thread.  With that said, we realize not everyone is into recycled clothes and there are those times it is simply just not PC.

That is why we started carrying items that are new and one-of-a-kind for those times you need a gift. We have introduced you to Lolly's Hands in the past.  Her handmade, recycled fabric stuffed animals are a huge hit with our shoppers!

We also introduced you to Carina's Hair Clips.  These adorable clips are just the right size and not too girly.

We just started carrying wooden frames.  The perfect gift for all those baby photos!  We carry several gender-neutral for all those moms who do not find out what they are having ahead of time.

We have even started to take custom orders!

Next time you need a gift and quick, remember Thread has more to offer than second-hand clothes!
